Road Ahead – BISC’s signature, invitation-only conference is the progressive community’s conference solely dedicated to ballot measures. BISC’s yearly event features state-based advocates, ballot measure campaign experts, movement leaders, and funding partners – all focused on how ballot measures can build power and be a tool for liberation. Given the ongoing pandemic, this year’s in-person Road Ahead will be a smaller, more intimate conference.
The Road Ahead 2022 conference will have an in-person event and a supporting virtual conference
When is Road Ahead 2022?
It will be held April 12-14, 2022. We encourage people traveling in person to arrive a day ahead on April 11. April 12 & 13 will be full days and April 14 will be a half-day.
Where is Road Ahead 2022?
Las Vegas, at The Park MGM Hotel + Virtual Road Ahead ’22!
This year, Road Ahead ’22 will include a smaller virtual conference option that compliments the in-person event. We will be live streaming (PST) all of our conference mainstage sessions and you’ll also have the ability to connect and collaborate with other attendees via our live chat and digital networking spaces. Can’t make it to Vegas? We got you covered.
Who comes to Road Ahead?
Road Ahead attendees come from all corners of the country and all parts of the progressive community. What unites them all is a desire to use ballot measures as a vehicle for social change.
How do I register?
Attendance at Road Ahead is by invitation only. Due to the ongoing pandemic, this year we are hosting a smaller number of attendees and are additionally offering a virtual option. If you think you or your organization would benefit by attending Road Ahead, please email us at [email protected].
What are the conference’s COVID-19 protocols and requirements?
Before registering to attend Road Ahead 2022, please consider the following COVID-19 guidelines for all attendees:
As you know, to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort, we are requiring that ALL attendees at Road Ahead provide proof of COVID-19 full vaccination and a negative PCR test result within 48 hours of your arrival at the conference.
Full COVID-19 vaccination is equivalent to:
Two (2) doses of either the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine or one (1) dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine AND one (1) booster dose of either the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine.
To expedite the check-in process onsite, we ask you to please email a copy of your COVID-19 vaccination card and negative PCR test result (within 48 hours of your arrival) via WeTransfer (a secure file transfer platform), and once on WeTransfer, please use our email [email protected] to send us your information. The email should include your First Name, Last Name and Organization to enable the event team to find you and verify that you have sent the required documentation. Our event team will immediately delete these emails to protect everyone’s privacy.
Alternatively, if you would prefer not to send this information in advance, you may show your vaccination card and negative PCR test result to our staff at the registration desk when you arrive in Las Vegas.
Despite the lifting of the mask mandate in Las Vegas last month, ALL Road Ahead attendees will be required to wear a mask throughout our indoor meeting spaces. We recommend wearing N95 or KN95 masks throughout the duration of the conference.
We will also be providing all attendees the option of using our outdoor terrace at the Park MGM during meal times and breaks to offer people reprieve from wearing masks. Additionally, there will be an outdoor space during the celebration reception on Wednesday night.
Regardless of your vaccination status, if you are ill or feeling symptoms of illness, if you have recently been tested for COVID-19 and are still awaiting your results, or if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, we ask that you please stay home.
Thank you so much for your partnership on this!
