These are a few of the key bills BISC is tracking as of July 26, 2022:
THE GOOD:
Alaska: The Alaska Tribal Recognition Act would formally recognize the government-to-government relationship between tribes in Alaska and the state – ON BALLOT 2022. Learn more here.
Arizona: Allowing non-citizen students to receive in-state college tuition when a student (a) attended school in Arizona for at least two years and (b) graduated from a public school, private school, or homeschool in Arizona – ON BALLOT 2022. Learn more here.
Oregon: Removes slavery and involuntary servitude from constitution and allows courts to order alternatives to incarceration – ON BALLOT 2022. Learn more here.
Oregon: Requires licenses, background checks, and firearm safety training for all gun owners. Learn more here.
THE BAD:
California: The ballot measure would create an education savings account program to distribute education funds to students’ parents for the students to attend private or charter schools or for homeschooling funds. Learn more here.
Michigan: Requiring a forensic audit of the 2020 election and changing the way election review procedures are conducted in future elections. Learn more here.

THE UGLY:
