Jamila Brown

Executive Assistant

Jamila Brown (she/her/hers) is a passionate advocate for justice and community support. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Communications from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Professionally, she is actively involved with the Youth Advisory Council Board (YAC), where she helps foster youth and works on creating new policies to better support them. 

Jamila is deeply interested in environmental justice and enthusiastically learns about sustainable practices. She regularly attends local events in Knoxville focused on supporting marginalized communities, and she is dedicated to making healthcare and food more affordable and accessible to everyone. 

Having grown up as a foster child, Jamila has a deep-seated passion for justice and helping others. She strongly believes in the importance of access to organic foods for all and is committed to supporting efforts that ensure this accessibility. 

In her free time, Jamila enjoys doing yoga, exploring the farmers market, and spending quality time with her furry friend and husband in their Knoxville, TN home. She also loves making pasta and hiking.
