Registration is open for Road Trip to Victory, BISC’s FREE virtual training series designed for leaders actively running ballot measure campaigns headed into the 2026 cycle. Join us for hands-on sessions focused on scaling programs, tackling real-time challenges, and setting your campaign up for a strong final push.
From June 17 through Labor Day, we’re offering nine training modules (with six offered twice to meet demand) focused on what campaigns actually need right now. Each session will run 90 minutes long and is designed to provide practical, in-the-moment support for leaders managing complex campaigns under pressure. Participants can register for individual sessions throughout the summer based on the topics most relevant to their work.
We still have seven sessions left on this summer’s Road Trip to Victory:
201 | Safety in the Field: Protecting Staff, Volunteers, and Voters
August 4, 2026 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM ET
Campaigns are operating in an increasingly hostile environment where staff, volunteers, and voters may face physical, digital, and emotional safety risks. This session helps participants identify common threats, develop clear safety protocols, and build practical plans to protect their teams during field, voter contact, and public-facing campaign activities.
301 | Litigation as Strategy: Preparing for Challenges Before and After Election Day
August 5, 2026 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM ET
Legal challenges have become a regular part of running ballot measure campaigns before, during and after Election Day. This session will help participants think through where their campaigns may be vulnerable, how to prepare for common legal and administrative challenges and how to stay aligned across legal, communications and campaign strategy when pressure hits.
101 | Funding the Finish: Strategic Fundraising in the Final Stretch
August 18, 2026 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM ET
The final stretch of a campaign requires fast decisions, strategic tradeoffs, and clear fundraising asks that move people to act. This session will help participants strengthen late-stage fundraising strategies, prioritize where final dollars should go, and think beyond Election Day to implementation and defense. Through practical exercises and real-world discussion, participants will explore how to communicate urgency, allocate resources strategically, and navigate the realities of campaign fundraising under pressure.
201 | Messaging Under Pressure: Persuasion & Countering Misinformation
August 20, 2026 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM ET
Learn how to craft persuasive messaging that breaks through with voters while responding to attacks, misinformation, and rapidly shifting digital environments. This session explores how ballot measure campaigns can maintain message discipline under pressure and communicate effectively in today’s noisy political landscape.
201 | Winning Isn’t the End: Preparing for Implementation
August 26, 2026 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM ET
Winning on Election Day is not the end of the fight. This session explores how campaigns can prepare for implementation challenges after the election, including legal attacks, legislative interference, administrative delays, coalition strain, and narrative fights. Participants will practice strategic decision making around real-world implementation scenarios and leave with practical tools for defending gains, sustaining coalition infrastructure, and planning beyond Election Day.
201 | What Comes Next? A Campaign Simulation Lab
September 1, 2026 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM ET
This interactive simulation lab gives campaign leaders the opportunity to practice making strategic decisions under pressure. Participants will work through realistic scenarios inspired by the challenges ballot measure campaigns are facing today—from misinformation and legal challenges to coalition management, fundraising, and post-election implementation. Rather than focusing on theory, this session is designed to strengthen leadership, decision-making, and campaign readiness before Election Day.
201 | Holding the Line: Winning a ‘No’ Campaign Under Pressure
September 2, 2026 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM ET
Defensive or “no” campaigns often operate in environments where urgency is constant and every issue feels immediate. This session explores how campaign leaders can stay strategic under pressure by prioritizing what matters most, navigating internal and external pressures, and building clearer decision-making structures during fast-moving campaign moments.
